ABOUT
Established in 2025, after many years in the making, Middle Son Tattoo offers a unique experience for folks looking to get tattooed. We believe that the environment where you receive your tattoo is important, and becomes integrated into the life of the piece.
With that in mind, we have built a studio in the woods of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont where clients will have the opportunity to spend the weekend on a working farm, walk trails along winding streams and explore an area rich with food, culture, and recreation.
The studio itself is built from timber that was cut from and milled on the land, and finished with the same eye for detail that Caleb Colpitts gives to his tattoos. So come on up, immerse yourself in the place, and leave with a tattoo and a story worth traveling for.
The Experience
Middle Son Tattoo offers clients a tattoo experience unlike any other shop out there. While we will of course be offering smaller tattoos and flash to folks who want to stop by, our main focus is on our unique ability to host clients on the property. Traveling for a tattoo is stressful enough without having to think about where to stay. Our cabin is purpose built for clients to relax before and after tattoo sessions, kick back on the porch with a book or get cozy by the fire. Our land is located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, a place well worth some exploration.
Two Night Package
Our two night package allows clients the chance to arrive, have a consultation, get settled in, then spend two days in a row working with our artists on their project. This package is geared towards folks who are looking for larger pieces, and want a truly collaborative experience with their artist. This experience includes ten to sixteen hours of tattooing time, and two nights in the cabin. While geared towards large projects, this package can be split between up to six people who want smaller pieces. Please not that the cabin will only comfortably accomodate four. For larger parties tent platforms are available.
One Night Package
Our one night package is geared towards clients who are looking for a smaller piece, but who still want the experience of staying on the land. This package includes five to eight hours of tattooing time, and a night in the cabin. This package can be for one medium tattoo or split between two or three clients wanting smaller pieces.
PYO Tattoo
In the spirit of Vermont's orchards and berry farms, Middle Son Tattoo offers
"Pick Your Own" tattoo.
Clients are welcome to walk our trails, through the forest, fields and gardens.
They can pick/pick up whatever they would like along the way, from flowers to sticks, stones to even the occasional feather or bone!
Then bring back their collection to our artists who will use these element to craft a freehand composition drawn directly onto the client's body and then tattooed!
There is nowhere else you will find a tattoo quite so connected to the place you got it.
